Leveraging chemical expertise to provide thoughtful counseling on IP strategy and portfolio management

Amy C. Jackson, PhD, earned her doctorate from Baylor University working under Professor John L. Wood on the total synthesis of natural products, development of synthetic methods, and X-ray crystallography. Combined with her undergraduate experience at San Diego State University, working under Professor Jeffrey L. Gustafson, Amy has more than 6 years of experience in bench and glovebox chemistry, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of synthetic design and strategy, spectroscopy, and SAR studies. Amy has published her research in numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and assisted in the preparation of multiple national research grants.

Prior to joining our team, Amy worked as a science advisor at Goodwin Procter LLP, where she gained experience in prosecution, patent drafting, prior art research, and freedom to operate analysis. A chemist at heart, her work focuses on small molecules and pharmaceutical drug discovery.
