Providing insight from a background in formulation, litigation, and prosecution
Vicki Lee focuses her practice on US and foreign patent prosecution and due diligence in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Her practice includes assisting clients with patent application drafting, prosecution, diligence investigations, and patenting strategy.
Vicki also has a wide range of litigation experience, including drafting motions and briefs, working with expert witnesses, and preparing for district court trials and Federal Circuit appeals. Vicki draws from this when counseling clients on prosecution and clearance issues. Her litigation background can also be leveraged in contentious practice at the USPTO.
Prior to joining McNeill PLLC, Vicki was an attorney in the Washington DC office of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP. She was also an adjunct professor for Scholarly Writing for the AIPLA Quarterly Journal at the George Washington University School of Law in 2014-2015. Vicki was an attorney of record for amicus briefing before the Supreme Court in the Myriad case. Prior to starting her legal practice, Vicki worked as a Chemist at L’Oreal USA, developing cosmetic formulations. She is a named inventor on US Patent No. 8,241,617 and US Patent Application No. 12/238,960.
